What the contract covers
The Slovenian contract follows the clauses of the AMZS form, the Croatian one the Croatian Civil Obligations Act (Zakon o obveznim odnosima). Once you choose the country, the fields adapt.
Slovenia: kupoprodajna pogodba
- Seller and buyer with address, EMŠO, tax number and ID document
- Vehicle: make, model, VIN, registration plate, registration certificate and mileage
- Price, payment due date and who pays the transfer costs
- The seller's statement that the vehicle is free of encumbrances and has no hidden defects known to the seller, and anything the seller points out to the buyer
- Place, date and both signatures
Croatia: ugovor o kupoprodaji vozila
- Seller and buyer with address, OIB and ID card number
- Vehicle: make, model, VIN, registration plate, year of manufacture and engine power in kW
- Price, payment due date and who pays the upravna pristojba (registration fee)
- Warranty against legal defects, and the vehicle taken over as seen
- Handover of the vehicle with the prometna dozvola (registration certificate) and keys
After signing
The buyer has to register the vehicle in their name. How depends on the country.
In Slovenia
- The buyer registers the vehicle in their name within 15 days.
- According to AMZS, the signatures need no certification if both parties identify themselves with an ID document.
- Check with the registration organisation what to bring.
In Croatia
- Notarising the signatures has not been required since 2018 (HAK, Croatian government).
- Within 15 days the buyer re-registers the vehicle at a vehicle inspection station (STP).
- At the STP the buyer pays the upravna pristojba, which depends on the vehicle's power and age.
We do not know whether registration offices accept a contract signed on screen. If you register the vehicle in person, print two copies and sign them with a pen as well, so each party keeps one.
The form is a template and does not replace legal advice. For a more complex sale, such as a leased or jointly owned vehicle, ask a lawyer.
Why an Evoca account
The form on this page stays free and needs no account. If you sell a vehicle from your Evoca garage, prepare the contract there and the signed copy stays with the vehicle documents.
- All contracts in one place. The signed contract is saved with the vehicle's documents, so you do not have to search your email for it.
- Vehicle details fill themselves in. You pick the vehicle from your garage. You are already entered as the seller with the name, address and tax number from your profile.
- Signing at a distance. You send the other party a link. On it they add their own details and sign on their own phone. The link is valid for 14 days.
